Paperiest
For as long as I’ve worked with scent, I’ve been drawn to the green hush of forests — that damp, loamy breath of earth, pine, moss, and hidden life. I wanted to capture a moment in that space: one both real and surreal, as if nature itself paused and offered you a small, strange delight.
Paperiest is my ode to the quiet stillness of the woods and the comforting sharpness of memory. It began with a simple idea:
What if you stumbled upon a lemon cake in the middle of the forest?
Not a sugary dessert — but something deeper: a cake made with bitter rind, scorched citrus oil, and the earthy warmth of crushed nuts and wood smoke. Something slightly haunting. Something familiar, yet out of place.
Surrounded by cedar and moss, the scent unfolds like a forgotten picnic in a dream — a moment of solitude where the forest’s breath mingles with the lingering trace of something baked, something human.
This is a perfume of contrast: bitter and warm, grounded and surreal, edible and wild. A forest memory that may never have happened — but somehow still lingers.
